IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Inclusive Development of the National Economy: Global Trends, Opportunities of Ukraine and the Role of the Agro-Food Sector, Experience and Cooperation with the EU” within the framework of the Erasmus+ project (21-22.10.2025, online)

On October 21-22, 2025, the IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Inclusive Development of the National Economy: Global Trends, Opportunities of Ukraine and the Role of the Agro-Food Sector, Experience and Cooperation with the EU” was held at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine by the Department of Production and Investment Management within the framework of the project of the European Union Erasmus+ Program, Jean Monnet module “Practices of Social and Economic Inclusion in the EU”.

The international conference was organized jointly with Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), WSHIU Academy of Applied Sciences (Poland), Purdue University (USA), Fater Academy of India (India) and the University of Haifa (Israel).

The event was attended by more than 150 researchers, teachers, bachelors, masters, postgraduates, doctoral students, representatives of NGO’s and other institutions from various cities of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Ivano-Frankivsk, Irpin, Lviv, and Chernivtsi.

During the event, the participants were welcomed by Petro KRAINIK, project manager of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine (EU funded project), who in his speech noted the importance of inclusion and working with relevant target groups as one of the main priorities of the EU Erasmus+ Program, and also spoke about the need for inter-project cooperation and ensuring synergy within the implementation of Jean Monnet projects. Presentations were made by Lidiia SHYNKARUK, project coordinator, Doctor of Economics, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine, Professor of the Department of Production and Investment Management, Artem OBERNYAK, Head of the Rehabilitation Center of the Feofania Clinical Hospital, Marja NESTEROVA, Head of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence “European Studies of Social Innovation in Education” and founder of the NGO “IntegrA Verein für Social Integration, Social Inclusion und Nachhaltige Entwicklung” (Austria), Sigitas DAUKILA, Dr. habi.l, Professor at Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania, Lyudmila SHEPELIEVA, practical psychologist at Helping Hand Company, Inc, USA. Aram SARGSIAN, Viktor HALASIUK, Taras SUS, Svitlana PANKO and other scientists and business representatives logically developed the conference theme with their speeches. The speakers focused on such topical issues as: lessons of economic and social inclusion for Ukraine, adaptation of veterans after complex operations and amputations, economic engineering for sustainable socio-economic development.

During the event, participants got acquainted with the theater of ancient Ukrainian food, the features of the gender approach in social innovations, and learned about practical approaches to inclusive education of socially excluded individuals, psychological and social aspects of inclusion in conditions of military challenges.
